Guiding Principles

WHAT IS ACTS 1:8?

Embracing the essence of Acts 1:8: Jesus’ parting words become our primary calling. In Acts 1:8, Jesus declared, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Through the transformative work of Jesus, we are infused with hope – a hope that is simply too remarkable to keep to ourselves. Our purpose is clear – to spread the good news and make disciples of all nations.

HOW DO WE LIVE OUT ACTS 1:8?

At Clifton Baptist Church, we relentlessly center our mission around four key objectives. By embracing God’s grace and empowerment, we: SUPPORT every member in their mission-driven journey, PROVIDE endless opportunities for our small groups to serve and uplift our mission partners, ESTABLISH thriving churches that will permeate cities with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, and EQUIP visionary leaders who will rally disciple-making groups and congregations.
